Catherine Jo and Nicholas enjoyed a beautiful seaside wedding taking place in Bristol and Newport, RI. Their day started at the Hyatt where they both got ready for their big day. Cathy’s dress was breathtaking, the photographer and Crystal decided it was too pretty to get a nice shot of it indoors. They made sure Nick was indoors so that he couldn’t see them and they hung it outdoors on the Hyatt balcony.
An elegant Rolls Royce came to bring Cathy to St. Mary’s church in Bristol. They had an intimate catholic wedding ceremony with their closest family and friends there supporting them. As they exited the church, their guests were cheering them on by waving streamers in the air.
After a champagne toast, the happy couple made their way to Belle Mer on Goat Island in Newport, RI for their wedding reception. They posed for some breathtaking shots on the sea wall of Belle Mer with the Newport Bridge in the background. Guests made their way to cocktail hour while Cathy and Nick shared a romantic moment in the room before the guests could see it. The decor was classy and sophisticated. The reception started and the couple shared their first dance together, guests were invited to join. The night continued with a beautiful sunset, delicious dinner, fun dancing, and a refreshing coffee and espresso booth.
We are so honored that we were able to share in this special occasion with Cathy and Nick!

Hyatt Harborside, Boston, MA Wedding // Mr. & Mrs. Smith’s Cinematic Highlight

Lindsey & Chris both woke up to clouds and rain on October 11, 2014. The weather miraculously cleared up just before they were ready to do their first look. The weather was beautiful through their formals session and continued throughout the rest of the day.

Their ceremony was held in the tent outside of the Hyatt Harborside with a gorgeous view of the Boston skyline. Lindsey’s Aunt was the officiant for the ceremony. Since she has known Lindsey her whole life, the ceremony was very personalized. Chris & Lindsey’s personal vows were sweet and also humorous, which had their guests smiling the entire time.

The party continued with delicious Hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour, and guests were able to sign their unique “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” sign.

Their reception was a non stop party, complete with heartfelt toasts, great dance moves, confetti, and late night snacks. After experiencing this awesome day with the couple, we could really feel the love and happiness shared between the two families. Enjoy their cinematic highlight!

Destination Wedding Video in The Great Smoky Mountains // Grishma & Hiren / Sunset Creative Session

Grishma & Hiren // Great Smoky Mountains Sunset Session // Destination Wedding Films & Videos from Artistic Wedding Films on Vimeo.
Destination weddings are so much fun to shoot and this one was no different.  Having the chance to travel to Tennessee and shoot Grishma and Hiren’s Engagement Ceremony and Reception was a blast!  As you can imagine, getting amazing shots doesn’t come without preparation or planning. Neal and I spent 4.5 hours scouting to find this amazing spot in the Smoky Mountains so that we could take our couple to an amazing destination for the sunset. Having no internet service in the Smoky Mountains made it even a bit more difficult to get sun patterns and sunset times, we had to rely on our skills and experience to pull this session all together. I hope you all agree.

Castle Hill Inn Wedding // Newport, RI // Lindsey & Scott’s Cinematic Wedding Highlight

Lindsey & Scott started off their wedding day by the water at the gorgeous Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island. Their little flower girl Elle was so excited about being the flower girl, she was full of fun energy the entire day!

The couple planed to see eachother before the ceremony right by the very well known Castle Hill Lighthouse. The moment they shared there was nothing short of adorable, especially because Lindsey had never seen Scott in a bowtie before.

All of their immediate family members and the bridal party made their way over to the Marble House for their formal photography session. They couldn’t have asked for better weather in September, the sun was shining all day and the cool Newport breeze cooled them down.

Everyone was brought back to Castle Hill Inn for their seaside ceremony by the tent. Cocktail hour followed with a tasty rawbar and relaxing music played by the live trio.

The guests made their way into the tent for the reception. The decor was classy and elegant, and as the night went on the guests could enjoy watching the beautiful sunset. After dinner, the groom and his mother shared a dance, followed by the bride and her father who opened up the dance floor with an energetic song! The night continued with fun dancing, yummy deserts, and a chance to take silly photos in their photobooth. Here is their cinematic wedding highlight:

We are thrilled to share this cinematic wedding trailer. After meeting Alicia and John and finding out John works in the video industry, we wanted to do something a little more fun and non-traditional for them. John brought up wanting to have some footage of him and his groomsmen running around the hotel with prop guns on the wedding day, we decided to take the next step in making them a movie trailer. Knowing they were doing a first look hours before the ceremony, we developed our own script and timeline to allow us to get some extra scenes shot in the morning and not interrupt the flow of their day. We had so much fun executing this awesome idea with them and their families and friends.

Cape Cod Wedding // Willowbend Country Club, Mashpee, MA // Courtney & Anthony’s Same Day Edit Film

Anthony summarized his own wedding day perfectly, have a read!:
Words can’t describe how amazing our day was. I got to marry my best friend and love of my life. As a wedding photographer, I have been to a lot of weddings and have seen many, many different versions of someone else’s perfect wedding – some more perfect than others. I wanted an absolutely perfect wedding for Courtney because she deserves nothing less. I gave my two cents wherever I could and I was (of course) in charge of hiring our photographer and videographer. I knew right away who I was going to choose for those roles. I worked with Mike and AWF at a wedding last year and was utterly blown away by their work. I knew I needed to have them.
Our wedding day finally arrived and I went in to it with absolutely zero nerves. I guess shooting weddings somewhat prepared me for my own wedding. I surprised Courtney by having our musician play “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri as she walked down the aisle. She wanted to walk down to that song SO bad, but we were limited to the church music. I pulled some strings and was able to arrange for that song to be played. Courtney was shocked. I saw tears streaming down her face as she walked toward me. I could not believe I was about to marry my best friend. And I still was not nervous. Courtney was glowing and so was I. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful.
Our reception was undeniably everything I could have imagined it would be. Everything came together PERFECTLY. From the live band, to the video crew, to the photographers, to the uplighitng, etc etc etc. Everyone could not stop complimenting our wedding. The quote “the best wedding I’ve ever been to” was thrown around quite a bit that night and I am so happy people felt that way. I wanted this wedding to be an absolute showstopper for Courtney and I feel that it truly was.

A Message in a Bottle // RI Country Club Wedding // Erica & Adam Resmini’s Wedding

We want to wish a very Happy Anniversary to Erica & Adam Resmini

We had the pleasure of documenting their epic wedding celebration last August. Erica and Adam are two of the sweetest people we know, they are also a ton of fun to be around. The love they have for one another is a rare and beautiful thing.

They met by chance while putting together an event. From their first meeting, Adam fell in love with her sense of humor. They stayed at Panera Bread for hours, but not to talk about the event, they were engaged in each other’s stories and spent all that time getting to know each other. Five weeks later, while on one of their many picnic dates, Adam discreetly wrote a note for her. He put the note in their empty wine bottle and hid it from her. He explained they would find the bottle some other time and she could read the note then.

A little over a year later, they went to that same spot to have a picnic. They found the bottle and Adam gave her the note that was inside. The end of the note said, “Will you marry me?”.

Their wedding day was a year after their engagement. As always, we loved working with their fantastic planner, Wendy Joblon and their day went by so seamlessly because of her.

They shared an intimate Catholic Ceremony at St. Luke’s Parish in Barrington. Adam surprised her once again with a horse and carriage waiting for them outside the church to bring them to their home down the street where they would take their wedding photos. Julie, Scott and Devon from Oggi Photography were so much fun to work with throughout the day and set up some gorgeous poses of the bridal party on the beach.

Their reception was held at RI Country Club and was elegantly decorated by Exquisite Events and Stone Blossoms. The evening continued with entertainment by the extremely talented band Decades By Dezyne and surprise fireworks for their guests to enjoy at the end of the night.

Please take a moment to watch their highlight film and see for yourself the wonderful love that the two of them share.

Erica & Adam, we wish you both the best and are so happy we got to be a part of your special day!

Miranda & Allen were a very “out of the box” couple and their choice of locations speaks volumes to the fun they wanted for their guests on their wedding day. We were introduced to the couple by our wonderful friend and talented photographer Scott Z. Their beautiful love was very evident and they shared their nuptials with the gorgeous Boston Harbor in the background. The view was spectacular! Their wedding also coincided with the “Super Moon” and what an amazing night and evening it was. Enjoy the Same Day Edit!

Charlottesville, VA Wedding // Megan & Sonny’s Same Day Edit // Good, Better, Best // One Couple, Two Weddings

When Megan and Sonny began dating, they spent a great deal of time in Northern Virginia going to different vineyards and enjoying the wine country of the East Coast. Because this place meant so much to them, they decided to host both of their weddings there!

Their weekend started in Afton, VA at Veritas Vineyard with a wine tasting welcome for their family and friends. The beautiful hills and mountain tops of Virginia set the perfect scene for the weekend. We had a great time shooting some beautiful shots of the couple with Scott and Melissa from Hopkins Studios in Savannah, GA.

The weekend continued to Keswick Vineyard for their first wedding ceremony and celebration of the weekend.  Sonny’s Indian heritage came through in the Barat, Ceremony and traditional wedding performance by his sister.

The following day, they had a second wedding ceremony and reception at the picturesque Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards where the sun gleamed through the clouds that lingered all weekend for some amazing moments during the creative session. The Christian ceremony was officiated by Megan’s step father and allowed the guests to enjoy a bit of Meg’s culture. We could not have asked or dreamed of a more beautiful landscape of vineyards and rolling hills in the background, epic!

Both Receptions concluded with Boston Sound and Lighting providing awesome entertainment. Each night the dancefloor was packed. On Saturday’s wedding Deejay Yogz caved and played 5 “one last song’s” but after a while the guests started chanting, “one more wedding” instead. The night ended with a romantic and fun sparkler exit for the newlyweds and continued to Ten in Charlottesville for an after party with more entertainment from BSL.

It was such an honor to be part of the wedding pros that participated in this amazing gathering of supportive and warm family and friends from all over the globe.  Sonny and Meg could have chosen anyone and we were very honored to have been entrusted with their wedding film!  Enjoy their Same Day Edit!
